Hi
Most of us have seen the Matrix..
When Neo is given the choice of the red pill or the blue blue..the blue
pill takes him back to his current blissfully ignorant view of his reality, and the other awakens him to the real reality!
Opening our minds to new things and, more importantly, the belief that you CAN do it is the 'red pill' of fitness.
Realising that we deserve to be healthier and it is NEVER too late is the reality we can find ourselves in if we
just take that first step.
That 'red pill' is there whenever we want to take it.
The 'blue pill' is there as well.
The good news is that the 'red pill' could just mean adding ONE thing into your day to improve your fitness.
It could go something like this:
Buying a foam roller to roll your upper back every morning has an incredible impact on your posture and lower back pain...
....which leads to....
....you adding in more mobility work, moving more and
setting up a standing desk
....which leads to....
....having more energy as you are sleeping better.
....which leads to...
....adding in a Yoga session and a strength session a week as you realise how quickly your body can adapt as everything seems to get that little bit easier to do.
You realise that you feel like you did when you were 10 years younger, freeing yourself of the 'blue pill' mentality of 'I'm just getting old!'
I've seen it happen many times,
after a small amount of time just trying new things we almost begin to fall into a mindset of correction and adjustment away from what has held us back.
It becomes fun to pause when we come to a decision and take the OPPOSITE direction the 'old you' would have taken.
It is why we talk a lot about consistency and habits. Our subconscious follows what we experience and think...so try something new today.
It is the only quick fix that works, you can change how you approach fitness RIGHT NOW and blow your mind in a year when you achieve things you thought were for other people!
Easter is about new beginnings, could this be yours?
