Shake the fat off...seriously?!

Hi

Saw this a while ago and it sums up quite a lot of what is wrong with the fitness industry...all in one airbrushed picture with quite 'bold' claims.

Whilst I have used (and been certified on how to use) vibration training, and I totally agree that they have a place for some people...however, they are just a minor piece of a fitness toolkit.

You will never drop a dress size in 21 days JUST using these..unless you do the following alongside:

  • dial in your nutrition 100% to what works for you, eat whole food, never eat anything addictive, nutrient poor, inflammatory or anything you are allergic too (this is far from easy to work through..and takes much longer than 21 days!).
  • Sleep well for 7-9 hours a night and minimise stress.
  • Carry out 3 or 4 sessions of HIIT training a week.
  • Carry out 3/4 sessions of strength training a week (with perfect form).
  • Drink water, and nothing else.
  • Walk for at least an hour every day.
  • Don't stay in one position for more than 20 minutes...and if you have a desk job get a stand up desk.
  • Delve deep into your past and inner you to find out what causes any negative effect on your willpower, eating habits, aversion to exercise etc..,and do what you can to get help fixing these.
  • Find your 'why' and go after it 100%. None of this 80/20% rubbish..you want it go get it.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they give out the above info of course...it makes me feel better to believe this :-/

There is no quick fix, magic bullet, pill or potion that will replace commitment, very hard work and you taking the TIME to get to what works for you and making it a lifestyle habit.

The points above are impossible to implement all in one go. Simply focusing on one a week is a huge step forward to build on week by week.

52 new healthy habits a year from now is better than putting hopes in just one modality. Make it a habit and make it stick!

There is no rush to get healthy, your body is incredible NOW whatever shape it is in.

You are in this for life.

Learn to love what you have at every part of the process, and when the time is right to go after it do so...however, at your own pace and don't follow the unrealistic claims!

'fat loss is SIMPLE, it is not very EASY'

Something seems to good to be true...it usually is!
