Why should a resolution start in the new year?

Hi

One of my PT clients has decided to start her new years resolution TOMORROW to get fitter and eat more healthier.

In her words she 'will be well ahead of the game on Jan 1st 2016...and no time like the present!' Now that is how you make a change...why follow the pack?!

Reminds me of a great quote by fitness legend Charles Staly:

''Look around what most people are doing (with regards to their fitness and nutrition)....and then do the opposite!''

Waiting for a certain day to make a change is a form of procrastination.

Waiting for the perfect time, the perfect weather or the planets to align is also a delay you could possibly do without?

Sometimes it doesn't matter what start to do..just get started.

I've seen monumental changes occur from a starting point of simply walking for 30 min every every eve and adding from there as time, energy, resources increased.

If you get on track now, on whatever you need to change, then imagine where the new year motivation will take you when it comes...
