Are you worthy?

Happiness, self confidence, self belief and gratitude are all linked to where we hold ourselves against our (often very strict!) idea of self worth.

We continually measure ourselves up to the level we think we should aspire too.

Some people value themselves quite highly, sometimes well above where their worth to the wellbeing of their others in regards to how they act (we know these types don't we..me first, me next and I'm more important etc)?
Some people believe themselves to be UNworthy. They are not deserving of some good luck, a compliment, a happy relationship.
Most of us wiggle about around the two across our lives as our environment changes, and then settles in a middle ground where we know our worth, but not too much...as we grow as a person.

We want to be perfect, yet know that perfect person we aspire to is a myth.

It IS a good target, however not always hitting this target every second of every day does not mean you are broken or unworthy

I'm the first in line to raise my hand for making mistakes every day when I judge, scowl, criticise, whinge or miss an opportunity to smile at someone who needs one.

I tell myself it is OK be a muppet from time to time!

Life is crazy and we don't always have time to take a step back and get real.

As I've said before I spend a lot of time listening to interviews with the latest and greatest of our world.

Most of them say it is the mistakes they have made that have made them.

It is being present and recognising and embracing our imperfections that move us forward.

We ARE worthy of having everything we NEED (notice I don't say WANT)

Wouldn't we be pretty lonely, washed up and unsuccessful if our GOOD traits didn't massively outweigh our BAD traits?

There is space for everyone out there, we are all worthy of a happy contented life

I don't know about you, however I for one feel the only person who is in MY way of moving up to the next level sometimes is ME.

Make those mistakes, do things despite the fear of failing and hurting your pride.

Do you know any successful person that doesn't have a period in their past where they were at rock bottom?

It's why we like the 'hero's journey' in films, books and such like.

That next person you meet that puts you down or upsets you...just remember that if they are doing that to you, then what kind of stuff are they telling themselves internally. Give them a smile and walk away.

Just don't let that person be you....to yourself!
