Hi
We don't wake up and say 'I'm going to ACT or BE disciplined today'.
Discipline is a way of life that we grow from layering positive small habits and behaviours upon each other
It is entirely personal and only we can create and nurture it within us
Upholding these habits
and behaviours through the busy times AND the most relaxed times is the foundation to a healthy lifestyle that 'just happens'.
- Have you ever wished you, or someone else was more disciplined?
- Maybe we should work on the formation of good habits in the manner that suits you or that person?
- What sort of message do you tell
yourself when you should be more disciplined?
Kind of sets you off on the wrong foot right?
Starting with a fail never ends well!
Build discipline within you, not try to gain it from a book,
copying someone else or following that next, unqualified, celebrity that releases a DVD!
- Go for ONE positive habit at a time and really take note of the improvements in how you feel and perform at every step
- Note the times you deviated from this, what occurred in your environment, how were you feeling and, most importantly how did the effect of NOT doing it make you
feel?
- We recommend one thing ONLY as to do too many things at once can cause us to miss these specific adaptations and not attribute to any one habit.
- You need to convince the toughest and most stubborn negotiator you know...YOU!
- Go easy on yourself and keep the noise of too many changes at
bay.
As with any learning environment we need to 1) believe and 2) look at every angle and take our time to really grasp the concept.
Having this arsenal of positive affirmations from a habit as a safety net or guide rail to keep us on track with it is real discipline...it is a way of life!
Deep set, grounded proof of what works for you to refer back because you believe it is dynamite...
J
