Re-assess your environment for better health

Hi

What holds you back from being as close to your best as you can?

Changes on a daily, or even hourly basis, right?

Obstacles, competing priorities, problems and challenges are part of life itself.

However, should we see this as an issue..or should we USE this to improve?!

Our bodies are the product of millions of years of envolution.

Survival of the fittest and the subsequent adaptations has made us pretty indestructible, resilient and the most powerful and prolific species in the known universe.

But, this process took hundreds of thousands of years..and that is just in our current form!

Just as a rock or tree is shaped by its environment, so....are...we.

Weather, Work to build shelter, hunting, gathering, walking miles, fighting ,and all out sprinting, was just in a days work for our bodies.

And your body is still EXPECTING this.

These days we could get all the food we need and provide for our family without even leaving the house..or even the sofa.

Yes, we are incredibly lucky to live in the safest time ever in our history, yet our bodies are still built for where we were before we started farming and settling down in commmnities!

Some days I would love to quit it all and move to the mountains but most days I’m happy being comfortable.

Yet, armed with this knowledge, maybe developing an internal alarm that fires us into movement and action if we sit still for too long is a good game to play?

Could we work for our food more?

However you want to play it, take a step back and look at your environment with a critical eye and try to tweak or change those areas where it is negatively effecting your health.

More movement, more effort and more use of energy gives us MORE energy by means of the incredible adaptivity of our bodies.

YOUR body strives and yearns for physical effort to make it stronger.

Ever notice why our children get more intense across the day the more they run around?

Ever tried to wear out a 7 year old? Good luck with that one ;-)

A child’s body is a perfect example of what we can do and the energy we can generate..play it right and we can still tap into this whatever age!

Move well...move often!
