We have heard it all before, yet do we utilise it enough?
The physiological changes that our body goes through
as it prepares for fight or flight in a stressful situation are primal, deep set and the same for whatever the stress
Being HIGHLY adaptive means that we can use this to our advantage
Putting our body under stressors in a
controlled environment creates adaptation in our bodies which, in effect, inoculate us against this level of stress causing us harm in the future.
So, getting after it in the gym, primes our physiological systems to manage stress better.
Think back to the stresses that USED
to worry us as young teens or adults.
Worry about these things now? I guess not.
Add in some physical stress as a 'practice' and the stress RELIVING aspect of exercise and we can really ramp up our stress management and a reduction on what really
stresses us
Its that 1% better a day rule again!
