Are we doing all we can to make those changes?
Have we really projected forwards with our imagination on where we could end up on
the current trajectory?
Of course, we need to be positive and not add stress to our lives at all costs, yet can we be sure that we are doing all we can to ensure we are the best version of ourselves we can be?
- do we look at pictures of older people with poor posture to encourage us to stretch more?
- do we google 'smoking related
diseases' when thinking of quitting?
- diabetes, do the research, it is devastating?
- ever really looked into what a heart attack is?
- imagine what it will be like to not be walking your children down the aisle
- imagine what it will be like to not be able to chase around those little Grandchildren
- what will it feel like to be in pain all the time?
- what would you say to you TODAY if you could travel back in time from your deathbed?
I know that is all a bit heavy (sorry!), although the best success we see with our clients is when these sort of things are at the TOP OF MIND at all times.
It always goes deeper than the 'abs, guns or bum'.
We all know how impactful the imagination of children can be. They are hilarious with what comes up and what they believe with true resolution.
Ask a 4 year old what they want to be when they grow up and its a Spaceman, a Zombie (maybe that's just ours!), a King or a Princess...
Have we lost the ability to imagine ourselves better, do we dream big enough or have we lost that passion for being the best we can be?
Are we sedating ourselves with work, alcohol, exercise or chocolate to mask that feeling that we are off our
path?
That little doubt or nervous feeling should be welcomed as friend to nudge us back on track!
Where will we be this time next year? Even a few steps forward is progress, however could a bit of 'scary' imagination steepen
the curve?
NEVER forget though that you have done pretty well already just to get this far though!
