Take as many takes as you need..

Hi

Take 1: Make it work

Take 2: Make it better

Take 3: Make it beautiful

Whether it is a repetition of an exercise, a full program or simply just starting a new behaviour on your health journey, taking your time to try and try again is a powerful way to get the foundations right.
You are completely normal if it takes 10 takes or more for each of the above stage, just be sure to remember this at all times.

Plateaus, frustrating slip ups, accidental or purposeful graceful falls of the wagon almost always occur JUST BEFORE a step forward and upwards

Read that again, as it is one of the most important 'secrets' of training and fitness.

Whether it is because we strive harder after a mishap to 'catch up' or our bodies are putting that last little bit of effort to stay the same before it invests energy in an adaptation...who knows?

What I do know is that it happens.

So, be the person who errs a tad, throws up their hands and gives up?

or...

....be the person that gets back on track smoothly, stronger

Our bodies work on a constant feedback loop so often the MORE times we need to try things the more effective and long lasting the results.

It is why the best athletes don't always make the best coaches.

Want to learn off someone who is that outlier that it all come naturally for, or someone that has had to try and try again as they find that perfect path?

Someone who has taken all the 'takes' will know exactly what to say and do for many different hurdles.

Experience = success!
