I have always liked this phrase.
Obviously it doesn't mean swaggering out the gym an inch taller.
To me it means that the funky mood I
was in after a day of a bit of pressure is blown away after a quick session of movement.
You feel awesome and proud.
An increase in confidence is not always mentioned as a reason to start working with a coach or trainer, however it is actually right at the core of what we do.
Confidence to lift that huge bar overhead in a crowded gym, confidence to wear that revealing shirt or simply confidence to walk/strut across a busy bar.
You can't buy confidence, you can't touch it but you can absolutely see and feel it in someone.
I get to stand and watch someone emit more confidence in a very short space of
time.
There is something visceral and deeply innate that flows from deep inside a person when they do something they 'knew' they couldn't do.
It is beautiful and impacts all aspects of their life.
Unchecked mind with an inactive body creates
imbalance.
Simply moving our bodies re-stacks our soul.
Finding out that we can improve performance of our bodies takes our soul to another level.
Totally aware that I went a bit esoteric there, however as someone who owes his body and soul to training and exercise I want everyone to know
this!
Proving to myself, day after day, that my body CAN get stronger and more powerful made mind stronger.
Where you are today in body and mind is simply part of a journey, push for those little improvements as you go.
How will you know what you can achieve until you actually get there?!
Just get out there, work out and walk out taller!
